Kiselyov Yevgeniy

Biography

Was born in 1956 in Moscow.

In 1984 started to work at first on the radio, in Gosteleradio of USSR, and from 1987 works on Central television (program "Vremya" (Time). Soon he became the one of hosts of morning TV-programs ("90 minutes" - "120 minutes") and a special correspondent. Also he filmed special reports for "Time", "Before and after midnight", "Seven days", "International panorama" programs.

In 1991 with his colleagues created program "Vesti" (News). In January 1992 his own program "Itogi" (Resume) made it's début on "Ostankino" TV-channel.

In January 2000 became the General director of "NTV" TV-channel.

Since September 2009 he is a host of social and political talk-show "Big Politics with Evgeniy Kiselyov", which appeared on the main Ukrainian TV-channel "Inter" on September 25th.

- It's quite conservative program, - Evgeniy Kiselyov says. - We want to make a program of high quality. I think it's more than enough for success.
